RTI Mora Sniper V2 Gen 2 PCP Air Rifle: .22, .25 and .30

RTI Mora Sniper V2 Gen 2: 700cc Long Range Configuration

The RTI Mora Sniper V2 Gen 2 is the longest barrel Mora offered by Edgun West. Its 700 mm (28-inch) barrel provides more usable length than the Compact or Standard, while the 700 cc carbon fiber bottle keeps the rifle slimmer and less bulky than the traditional 1100 cc Sniper configuration.
Available in .22, .25, and .30 caliber, this rifle is built for shooters who want maximum barrel length for precision pellets, modern airgun slugs, and extended distance shooting without carrying the oversized 1100cc bottle.

RTI Mora Sniper Engineering and Tuning Guide

How the RTI Mora Tuning System Works

SystemHow It WorksWhat the Shooter Should Know
Twin RegulationTwo regulator stages control pressure before air enters the 125cc plenum. The first stage reduces bottle pressure. The second stage establishes the working pressure used for each shot.
First RegulatorThe first stage is generally set around 200 bar and normally requires no adjustment.RTI recommends changing it only when operating the second regulator at unusually low pressure. The first stage should remain approximately 20 to 50 bar above the second stage.
Second RegulatorThe second stage is externally adjustable and controls plenum pressure.Turn clockwise to increase pressure. Reducing pressure requires controlled degassing so the gauge and regulator can settle correctly.
Regulator StabilizationPressure may require several shots to stabilize after an adjustment.Do not judge an adjustment from a single chronograph reading. Fire several shots and watch for repeatable pressure and velocity.
Air Spring Hammer SystemThe Mora uses an automatic air spring that responds to plenum pressure. No conventional manual hammer spring tuning is required. Higher regulated pressure produces stronger spring action, while lower pressure reduces it.
Valve DwellDwell controls how long the valve remains open and how much regulated air enters the barrel.More dwell can increase velocity but also increases air use. Less dwell can improve efficiency. The correct setting produces the best consistency with the selected projectile.
125cc PlenumThe plenum stores regulated air immediately before the shot. Its large volume supports a broad range of pellet and slug setups without requiring an added external plenum extension.
Projectile HeadspaceThe projectile probe can be adjusted to change how deeply the pellet or slug is seated.RTI recommends beginning with deeper seating for pellets and shallower seating for slugs, then testing for the best accuracy.
Projectile LengthThe magazine accepts projectiles up to approximately 22mm. Projectiles up to approximately 25mm can be loaded without the magazine. This gives the Mora compatibility with many longer airgun slugs that do not fit in shallow magazines.
700mm BarrelThe longer barrel provides additional time for expanding air to accelerate the projectile.A longer barrel can improve efficiency at a desired velocity, but the correct regulator and dwell settings still depend on caliber and projectile weight.
Barrel SupportThe barrel can be free floating or supported beneath the optics area.Free floating isolates the barrel from outside contact. Added support can provide greater protection during transport and field use.
Adjustable Optics RailThe Picatinny rail provides coarse elevation adjustment.Use the rail to preserve the scope’s internal elevation range. Final zero and fine correction should still be completed through the optic.
Trigger SystemThe Mora allows adjustment of both stages, sear engagement, travel, weight, and blade position.Every trigger adjustment must be followed by a complete safety and function test before loading the rifle.
Caliber ConversionThe barrel, projectile probe, magazine, and caliber specific parts can be changed.A caliber conversion requires a completely new pressure, dwell, headspace, ammunition, and accuracy evaluation.
Witness HolesEach external witness hole corresponds with a specific internal O ring.Soapy water can be used to identify the area of a leak before disassembly.

Recommended Tuning Sequence

  • Select one pellet or slug to test.
  • Confirm the correct caliber, probe, and magazine.
  • Establish the desired second regulator pressure.
  • Fire several shots and allow the regulator to stabilize.
  • Begin with the valve dwell fully open.
  • Reduce dwell gradually while recording velocity.
  • Look for the setting with the smallest variation in velocity.
  • Adjust projectile headspace only after pressure and dwell are stable.
  • Confirm accuracy at the actual distance the rifle will be used.
  • Record every final setting before changing ammunition or caliber.

The goal is not maximum velocity. The correct tune delivers accurate, stable, and repeatable performance with reasonable air consumption and no unexplained changes in pressure or velocity.

Important Regulator Notes

  • The first regulator normally does not require adjustment.
  • The second regulator gauge immediately reflects pressure increases, but pressure reduction requires controlled bleeding.
  • Never exceed the published second regulator limit.
  • Use a chronograph when changing pressure, dwell, caliber, projectile weight, or headspace.
  • Change one variable at a time.
  • Record the starting setting before making adjustments.

Trigger Safety

After adjusting the trigger, cock the unloaded rifle and verify that normal handling does not release the sear. Confirm that the safety engages and disengages correctly. A lighter trigger is not useful if it is not predictable and safe.

RTI Mora Sniper Frequently Asked Questions

What is the difference between the Mora Standard and Mora Sniper?
The Standard uses a 600mm barrel. The Sniper uses a 700mm barrel. This Edgun West Sniper configuration also uses the same slimmer 700cc bottle capacity specified in your order rather than the larger traditional 1100cc Sniper bottle.

Why does this Sniper use a 700cc bottle?
The 700cc bottle keeps the rifle narrower and less bulky while retaining substantial air capacity. It is intended for shooters who want the 700mm barrel without the size of the 1100cc bottle.

Which caliber should I choose?
Choose .22 for higher magazine capacity, broad ammunition selection, and efficient pellet or lighter slug setups. Choose .25 for the strongest overall balance of projectile weight, efficiency, and versatility. Choose .30 for heavier projectiles, greater retained energy, and stronger performance in wind.

Will the Mora Sniper shoot both pellets and slugs?
Yes. The .22 and .25 models use RTI RPB barrels developed for pellet and slug performance. Every barrel still prefers certain projectile diameters, weights, designs, and velocities.

What barrel does the .30 Sniper use?
RTI currently offers the 700mm Sniper in .30 caliber but does not identify the exact twist rate, choke, or barrel manufacturer in its published technical table. Edgun West will verify and update the production specification from the incoming rifles rather than publishing an unsupported claim.

How powerful is the 700cc Mora Sniper?
RTI does not publish official power figures for the 700cc Sniper in .22, .25, or .30 caliber. Output depends on caliber, projectile, regulated pressure, valve dwell, and the final setup. Edgun West will not reuse numbers from a different bottle or barrel configuration simply because they sound impressive.

How many shots will it produce?
There is no official RTI shot count for this exact 700cc Sniper configuration. A moderate .22 pellet tune may use far less air than an aggressive .30 slug tune. Any single number covering all three calibers would be misleading.

Does the 700mm barrel automatically make the rifle more powerful?
The longer barrel can provide more time for expanding air to accelerate the projectile, potentially improving efficiency at a given velocity. Final performance still depends on pressure, dwell, caliber, projectile weight, and barrel preference.

Does the Mora Sniper need to be filled to 300 bar?
No. Three hundred bar is the maximum published fill pressure. It is not a required fill pressure for every shooting session. Use only dry compressed air and equipment properly rated for the pressure being used.

When should the rifle be refilled?
RTI instructs the owner to refill when bottle pressure approaches the regulated pressure shown by the rear gauge.

Does it use a Foster fitting?
Yes. The rifle uses a standard Foster quick-connect fitting.

What do the two gauges display?
One gauge shows bottle pressure. The other shows regulated or plenum pressure.

Can the magazine be loaded from either side?
Yes. The magazine can be reversed for right or left side loading.

How long can the projectile be?
The magazine accepts projectiles up to approximately 22mm in overall length. Projectiles up to approximately 25mm can be loaded without the magazine.

Does the rifle include a scope?
No. Scope and rings are selected separately so the optic can be matched to the intended distance, projectile, and shooting application.

Does it include a moderator?
Yes. The package includes a carbon moderator where lawful. RTI also describes an integral monocore sound management system for markets where permitted.

Can the Mora Sniper change calibers?
Yes. A conversion requires the correct barrel, projectile probe, magazine, seals, and related parts. The rifle must then be retuned for the new caliber and ammunition.

What is projectile headspace?
Headspace is the relationship between the seated projectile and the beginning of the barrel rifling. The Mora probe can be adjusted to change seating depth for different pellets and slugs.

What do the witness holes do?
The witness holes correspond with specific internal O rings. Applying soapy water around them can help identify the area of a leak before the rifle is disassembled.

What warranty does RTI provide?
RTI publishes a 3 year manufacturer warranty and instructs the owner to contact the selling dealer first.

Where is the .357 or 9mm Mora Sniper?
The .357 or 9mm version is offered on its own dedicated Edgun West product page because it uses different ammunition, has a different magazine capacity, has different performance expectations, and targets a different buyer intent.

Why buy from Edgun West?
Edgun West provides United States-based help with Mora model selection, caliber choice, projectile compatibility, setup, and long-term support. We document what RTI actually publishes, verify what arrives, and clearly identify specifications that are not yet supported by manufacturer data.
