Glow in the dark pellet pest control with the EDgun Leshiy and ATN X Sight 4K Pro

At the end of the day, my number one goal is gaining the upper hand in this pest control war raging in my yard. However, I'm a technology guy, who enjoys telling a good story. For giggles I decided to document it all given the sweet camera that's in the ATN X Sight 4K Pro. By the growth in the YouTube channel, it appears the content resonates with you all too... so naturally I'll look for ways to improve the entertainment value ;)

Slow motion footage and pellet tracking is where I focused my attention. Both of these require a camera capable of recording in higher speeds (120fps is probably the minimum for clear footage) and optimal lighting conditions. Seeing that we don't do pest control in a photo booth, I wanted to explore inexpensive ways of enhancing the slow motion pellet tracking.

Tracers seemed like the logical starting point. I watched a few videos, and used their lessons learned as a starting point. I tried nail polish, but found it too thin... so that was immediately out. I then used a florescent paint pen and green glow in the dark glue. Both were pretty effective, but had their pluses and minus. The biggest was the need for a UV light to charge the glow in the dark glue. It was cumbersome using the Leyla as you had to cycle the mag and charge the pellets with the UV light. The Leshiy made this way easier, but it was still a pain in the ass.

I settled in on the pink glow in the dark glue, as I thought I'd get the best of the paint pen color, plus the glow in the dark aspect. As you'll see in the footage this did pretty well, but not enough for the effort in my opinion. I was about to call it, and then decided to try a combo... pink glue, and then after it dried, add a dab of the paint pen. WOW... what a difference!!
